1. Overview

Algorithmic Living ("we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

2. Data We Collect

  • Account information — your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account when you sign in.
  • Google Sheets data — the contents of the Google Sheet you authorise, read at the time of analysis. We do not store your spreadsheet data permanently.
  • AI provider API keys — stored encrypted in our database to enable analysis on your behalf.
  • Usage records — token counts and estimated cost per analysis call, used to show you your API usage in Settings.
  • Cached analysis — AI-generated analysis results are cached temporarily in Redis to reduce redundant API calls.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To authenticate you and maintain your session
  • To read your Google Sheet and generate AI analysis
  • To display your API usage and cost estimates in Settings
  • To send a welcome email when you first sign up

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. Your data is shared only with:

  • Google — to authenticate you and access your authorised Google Sheet
  • Your chosen AI provider (Google Gemini or OpenAI) — your sheet data is sent to their API using the key you provide, subject to their privacy policies
  • Vercel — hosting provider that processes requests to run the Service
  • Upstash — Redis provider used to cache analysis results

5. Google API Data

Algorithmic Living's use of data received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We access your Google Sheets data solely to provide the analysis features of the Service and do not use it for any other purpose.

6. Data Retention

Your account data is retained until you delete your account. Cached analysis results expire automatically. Usage records are retained to provide your usage history in Settings.

7. Your Rights

You may at any time:

  • Revoke Google access via your Google account permissions
  • Remove your AI provider API keys from Settings
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us

8. Security

API keys are stored encrypted at rest. We use HTTPS for all data in transit. OAuth tokens are stored securely and refreshed automatically.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do.
